Taylor Swift's Season: Summer or Spring?
What season is Taylor Swift? Because of her peachy, golden complexion, she is often analyzed as a spring season, specifically light spring. Let's see how the drapes hold up to this theory!
Note that color analysis can be difficult with celebrities, as we don't often have appropriate photos for the analysis (headshot, natural lighting, no makeup).
While the following photo is not the ideal photo, and although virtual drapes can be less informative than in-person cloth drapes, we can still get some good ideas and impressions of Taylor's undertone and season using this approach.
Is Taylor cool or warm toned?
Using the virtual drapes from Vivaldi Color Lab, I draped Taylor Swift first with cool colors (top row), and then warm colors (bottom row). What do you notice?
Overall, Taylor is more harmonious with the colors from the bottom row. For example, the forest green in the bottom row highlights her natural golden complexion, while in contrast, the emerald green in the top row has an almost graying effect on her skin.
Granted, the pink and silver from the cool colors still look quite good on Taylor. But it's clear that peachy, warmer tones enhance and lift her features better than cool tones.
Overall, although some cool colors do work well on Taylor, meaning her undertone is neutral - we can see from these drapes that she leans slightly towards having a warm undertone.
Is Taylor a summer or spring season?
If Taylor Swift is warm toned, then she is a spring season (her features are too light to be an autumn, the other warm season), rather than a summer.
Taylor in spring colors
As a spring season, these are some of Taylor Swift's best colors. Note how her signature bright red lip is a classic spring color - her stylists know what they're doing!
From these drapes, light spring and warm spring suit her best. Light spring especially matches her delicate features the best overall - her primary characteristic is lightness, rather than warmth (warm spring) or brightness (bright spring).
Taylor in summer colors
We can confirm that Taylor is a light spring, as she looks almost as good in light summer colors! Light summer is the sister season of light spring, as they share lightness as their primary characteristic - such that light summer colors will suit light spring individuals very well, and vice versa.
Taylor's worst colors
Just for fun, let's also look at Taylor Swift's worst colors, now that we've determined that she is a light summer season.
Since lightness is her primary characteristic, her worst colors will come from the deep autumn and deep winter seasons. These dark, heavier colors clash with Taylor's naturally delicate features, as we can see from these drapes.
